New York State Police investigators announced the arrest of West Hartford resident Christopher Thai on Monday, who was stopped by state police troopers for a violation of vehicle and traffic law at approximately 8:40 p.m. on May 1 on I-684 in Southeast.
According to police, during the stop, it was determined that Thai was in possession of an estimated 1.51 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), commonly known as ecstasy. and he was subsequently arrested at the scene and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
Following arraignment, Thai was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. Thai is due back in Southeast Justice Court on May 17 to answer the charge.
